The general director of Innovation, Eduardo Zúñiga, highlights the inspirational nature of the event for all those who are starting their businesses in the new technologies sector: “since 2016, the Tramuntana Tech Talks have attracted the attention of all those who are thinking of starting up technology-based businesses; but we are human and the testimony of those who share their experience as entrepreneurs gives us that extra credibility and serves as a guide to help us dare to take on a new challenge”, he explained about these talks, whose last two editions were followed by almost 500 people, both in person and online.

This autumn, professionals from highly recognized companies such as Free Now, Bewe.io and bound4blue will participate in the Tramuntana Tech Talks in a total of three face-to-face talks: two at ParcBit and one at CentreBit Menorca.

The first talk at ParcBit will be on Thursday 20 October with Marta Ros, product manager at Free Now. “I don’t have a success story to tell, but every step I have taken in each of my small ventures has been a learning experience. In this talk I will tell you what I have experienced and what I have learned”, said Ros to introduce her conference. The product manager is passionate about creating new products and user experience and has been an entrepreneur four times. She has been working in product for ten years, launching initiatives in the area of social innovation, health and web marketplace, and has developed products from scratch to raise capital. He also co-founded a UX (User eXperience) agency, helping entrepreneurs and companies to improve or launch their products.

The next meeting will be on 27 October with Diego Ballesteros, founder and CEO of Bewe.io, who will speak at ParcBit about his experience as an entrepreneur and will discuss the concept of success to delve into “how we must prepare ourselves to enjoy the exciting challenge of entrepreneurship”. Ballesteros is a great entrepreneur who has spent more than 25 years creating startups in Spain and Latin America such as Ocioteca, MundoSalud (sold to Sanitas), SinDelantal España (sold to JustEat), and SinDelantal México (sold to JustEat). He is currently founder and CEO of Bewe.io, an application and marketing manager for SMEs based in Bogota (Colombia). As an angel investor (Business Angel), his most notable investments are Cabify, WinDelivery or The Brubaker, among others.

Finally, Cristina Aleixendri, co-founder of bound4blue, will close the Tramuntana Tech Talks from the Bit Menorca Centre on 8 November. Cristina has been recognised as one of the Top 50 female entrepreneurs in Europe in 2019 by Forbes magazine. During her talk she will share her personal experience as an entrepreneur and everything she would have liked to know before starting the project: the first steps of the bound4blue project and its evolution to the present, including how they accessed funding (both public and private); how was the development of the first version of their product; the first sales and how is their policy of attracting talent. During the talk Cristina will also comment on her point of view on how “falls” can be springboards for success.

Due to the success of previous events, in which companies such as Amazon, Destinia, Cabify, Wallapop, BlaBlaCar or Tiendeo have participated, prior registration is required for these talks focused on entrepreneurs.
