It will thus become a new instrument for disseminating the direct aid and rural development policies of this Community policy and thus help to achieve its aims. It will be integrated into the European CAP Network.

To this end, all the communication and dissemination activities that have been carried out up to now will be maintained, but greater prominence will be given to the economic and environmental objectives set by the new CAP. The National Strategic Plan for the application of the CAP in Spain will integrate the rural development interventions of the 17 autonomous communities, as well as the supra-autonomous measures that in previous periods were found in the 18 rural development programmes (RDP).

National CAP Network
The National Rural Network is a platform made up of public administrations (state, regional and local), social and economic agents, representatives of civil society and research organisations interested in promoting rural development.

This change of governance in the National CAP Network does not imply the renewal of the current RRN Executive Committee or the inclusion of new members in its assembly. In order to maintain the important network of contacts and work carried out by the RNN during its 14 years of existence, all members of the assembly will be able to participate in the new activities to be developed.

In any case, the RNN will keep its acronym, name and visual identity in order to maintain its recognition as a national reference in favour of rural development, now also in support of EU agricultural policies.

On the other hand, during the celebration of the RNN assembly, details were given on the activities carried out in the last period on rural youth and women, Leader approach, innovation, entrepreneurship and good practices.

All the information on conferences, publications, meetings and other material on these topics can be consulted on the RRN website, which will be kept current, updated and with the current domain for the next period.
