New information campaign on the regulations on the use of electric scooters

“The Inca City Council has launched this campaign to raise awareness among users of electric scooters about their proper use and respect for other road users, as it is an increasingly common means of transport in cities, and although it has its benefits, its use should not be neglected by current regulations,” says the Councillor for Citizen Safety, Antonia Triguero.

To carry out this campaign, the different service units will carry out controls of electric scooters in different parts of the city and will also take advantage of the networking work done by the Tutor Police with schools to disseminate the campaign through the GESTIB platform, thus reaching a very large number of families.

In this way, once this information campaign is over and the optimum time has elapsed for the new ordinance to be known, the Local Police will begin to file complaints and apply the corresponding sanctions.

Finally, it should be noted that after the Christmas holidays, an increase in the number of scooters circulating in our municipality has been detected.
