Empresa increases by 7.41% the aid for the modernization of businesses

\ They will be able to accede to these aids autonomous or holders of small companies of the sector of the commerce of the Balearic Islands that realize face-to-face sales.

The Consell de Govern, at the proposal of the Conselleria de Empresa, Empleo y Energía, has authorized an investment of 2,700,000 euros to finance this year the actions contained in the call for aid to promote the modernization of commercial retail companies and certain service companies, as well as the continuity of commercial establishments and certain services considered emblematic.

The Directorate General for Enterprise, Self-Employment and Trade, the driving force behind this initiative, has increased the budget of the call by 7.41%, from 2,500,000 euros in 2023 to 2,700,000 euros in 2024. The beneficiaries of these grants may be self-employed or owners of small businesses in the retail sector or certain service companies, within the category of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, which have an establishment in the Balearic Islands and which carry out face-to-face sales.

These grants will be aimed at making investments in equipment for technological and digital improvement; promoting investments that involve progress towards a low-carbon economy, improving energy efficiency and sustainability; carrying out the elimination of architectural barriers; acquiring the necessary equipment for the modernization of the establishment (furniture, machinery related to commercial activity, facilities, alarm and security systems, POS, intelligent automatic cash drawers, etc.), making investments to improve the image of trade, or carrying out works and reforms in general that involve the improvement and modernization of the commercial enterprise.
