III Flor de Almendro Award

The Consell de Mallorca will present this Saturday the III Premio Flor de Almendro, which aims to publicize the work of people or entities that promote the quality of this product that is closely linked to the landscape, traditions and gastronomy of the island.

This award is promoted by the Department of Economic Promotion and Local Development and the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Almond of Mallorca and this year reaches its third edition.

The president of the insular institution, Llorenç Galmés, will be in charge of presenting the award, in a ceremony that will take place at the Son Gallard Vell estate, Palma.

In addition to the president, the event will be attended by the councilor of Economic Promotion and Local Development, Pilar Amate; the general director of Agrifood Quality and Local Product, Joan Llabrés, and the president of the Regulatory Council of the IGP Almond of Mallorca, Miquel Riera, and the insular director of Economic Promotion and Product of Mallorca, Álvaro Roca, among other representatives of agricultural entities and quality brands of Mallorca.
