Approval received from the Council of Universities for the UIB’s Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy

The Council of Universities, a body dependent on the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, has issued, in the last meeting of the Commission for the Verification and Accreditation of Study Plans, a positive verification resolution for the degree in Pharmacy of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). This procedure represents the final verification of the degree after the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) also issued a favourable report a few weeks ago in the process of verification of this degree.

Thus, the degree in Pharmacy will be a reality in the next academic year 2024-2025. Soon, the Consell de Govern de la Comunitat Autònoma de les Illes Balears will give the go-ahead to the teaching of this degree and it will be registered in the Registry of Universities, Centres and Degrees (RUCT) of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

It should be remembered that the Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy will be offered on the Palma campus of the UIB, with 35 places available for new students. This is a 300-credit degree of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) divided into five courses of 60 ECTS credits each. The UIB will offer 35 places for new entrants to study this degree from the next academic year onwards.
