The Valuation Commission of the Es Baluard Museum’s direction contest finalizes the evaluation of the candidatures
Once the valuations of the candidatures presented to the Es Baluard Museu d’Art Contemporani de Palma’s management contest have been finished, the Valuation Commission has considered that the proposal that has obtained a higher score has been the one presented by Mr. David Barro López.

Es Baluard’s new director
The Evaluation Commission has drawn up a reasoned proposal that will be submitted to the Executive Committee of the Foundation and its Board of Trustees, to ratify his appointment, as indicated in the published rules.
The jury has expressly stated that the candidates and projects presented were of the highest level and that the selected candidate is, for its purposes, the one who can implement a project of greater viability.
The jury was made up of Guillermo Solana, director of the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza Madrid, the writer and art critic Fernando Castro Flórez, the independent curator Neus Cortés, the artist Bernardí Roig and the curator and cultural manager Alícia Ventura, a total of 20 candidatures were analysed.
