The Regional Ministry of Housing, Territory and Mobility, through the Directorate General of Housing and Architecture, has resolved the seventh payment of the Bono Alquiler Joven, for an amount of 575,030 euros, to nearly 600 beneficiaries (593). With this new payment, whose resolution was published this Wednesday and which will be made effective in the next few days, the government adds seven payment resolutions for a total amount of 5.3 million euros to nearly 1,400 beneficiaries.

The seventh payment of the Bono Alquiler Joven

The new payment of this aid, financed with state funds, corresponds to proof of payment of rent for May, June, July and August 2023. The list can be consulted at the link on the Bono Alquiler Joven aid website https://www.caib.es/sites/bolloguerjove/ca/resolucions/.

In the distribution by islands, of the 593 beneficiaries of this new payment resolution, 521 are from Mallorca, 45 from Menorca, 26 from Eivissa, and 1 from Formentera. Of the cumulative total of nearly 1,400 beneficiaries (1,379) of the 5.3 million Bono Alquiler Joven payment resolutions approved so far, 1,209 correspond to Mallorca; 109 to Menorca; 57 to Eivissa; and 4 to Formentera.

On the other hand, from 1 April, the deadline for submitting receipts to justify rent payments for January, February, March and April 2024 is now open. These payments correspond to the Bono Alquiler Joven call for 2022 and 2023, financed by the Government of Spain for these two years and which allows beneficiaries to receive aid of 250 euros per month for a maximum of two years (24 monthly payments) as long as they present the receipts for each four months.

For 2024, the Government of the Balearic Islands has already submitted a request to the Ministry of Housing and the Urban Agenda to extend this aid programme for this year since November last year, in one of the proposals put forward by councillor Marta Vidal to the minister Isabel Rodríguez, although the central government has not yet approved a new call for applications for the Bono Alquiler Joven (Youth Rental Subsidy).

Regarding rental subsidies, in April the Government plans to approve a new payment resolution for the 2022 subsidies. This is the sixth payment of this call, of which the Government has paid 4.7 million to 2,141 beneficiaries. The last payment was made at the beginning of December, when another pending payment was also made, with which the remaining payments of the 2021 call for rental subsidies were almost resolved.
