Earmarks €1.4 million from the Contingency Fund to extend aid to dependent persons

The monthly hours are extended, the agreement for the island of Ibiza is renewed and the hourly rate of the existing agreements is updated.

The Consell de Govern has today granted prior authorisation to the Regional Minister of Economy, Finance and Innovation to approve the credit extension, financed from the Contingency Fund, requested by the Regional Ministry of Family and Social Affairs, for an amount of 1,390,170.00 euros, in order to meet the needs for places and services for people in a situation of dependency during the financial year 2024, specifically the home help service.

With this additional appropriation, a total of 16,000 hours per month will be incorporated into the home help service agreement, the home help service agreement on the island of Ibiza will be renewed as of 1 May 2024 (its validity ends on 30 April 2024) and the hourly rate of the home help agreements in force will be updated, taking into account the forecast of the collective agreement for the years 2023 and 2024.
