A meeting of the Balearic Islands Council for Childhood and Family Affairs was held at the Regional Ministry of Families and Social Affairs. The meeting, chaired by Councillor Catalina Cirer, analysed the Strategic Plan for Child and Adolescent Care of the Balearic Islands 2023-2028 and considered it appropriate to update it.

Likewise, a request was made to incorporate new interlocutors, for example from the field of mental health, in subsequent meetings of the Council, as well as to establish more frequent meetings.

As stipulated in Decree 15/2003, of 14 February, the Childhood and Family Council is a collegiate body with a multidisciplinary composition that exercises consultation and proposal functions to promote and facilitate the participation, consultation and dialogue of all institutions and entities involved in this area.
