30.000 euros to the promotion of the inclusive culture of the island

The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, stresses that culture is a universal right for everyone and access to it must be guaranteed without exception. Thus, the subsidy increases from 25,000 euros in 2023 to 30,000 euros in 2024: “the goal is, year after year, to allocate more resources to make culture fully accessible,” says Galmés.

The Apropa Cultura Balears project is the implementation in the Balearic Islands of the successful Apropa Cultura programme launched in 2006 in Catalonia. An initiative that favours access to and participation in culture and its transformative power for people at risk of social exclusion.

Apropa Cultura Balears also works on the initiative to encourage networking between cultural promoters and social entities to promote inclusion within the cultural and artistic offer of the island of Mallorca.
