Culture announces a line of subsidies of 500,000 euros to promote the organisation of film festivals and competitions

The purpose of this call for applications is to award grants to encourage the organisation of film festivals and competitions in the Balearic Islands during the year 2024, with special emphasis on the promotion and dissemination of Balearic, Spanish, EU and Latin American cinema, as well as animated films, documentaries and short films. In addition, the festival or competition must have been held in the Balearic Islands for at least five editions in the years prior to the date of publication of this call. In the case of biennial festivals, this reference is understood to be made to two consecutive editions during the five years prior to the date of publication of this call.

The film festival or competition must take place between 1 January 2024 and 10 November 2024. The maximum time limit for justifying the eligible costs covered by the grant is three months from the day after the end of the implementation period, with the exception that if the implementation period ends after 31 August 2024 and before 10 November 2024, the maximum time limit for submitting the justification is 30 November 2024.
