The subsidies come from the State Pact against Gender Violence and will be for the years 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027.

There are 35 roundtables in the Balearic Islands, the last of which was held last week in the city of Eivissa.

IBDONA

For the years 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027, the Balearic Institute for Women (IBDONA) will allocate a total of 5,375,000 euros from the State Pact against Gender Violence in subsidies to local entities, groups of town councils and associations of municipalities to promote and implement the local roundtables for coordination and prevention against gender violence. This working instrument involves the main entities and institutions in a municipality that are directly or indirectly involved in the fight against gender-based violence. These are, among others, the different departments of the local councils, educational and health centres and the local police, as well as the State security forces and IBDONA.

The roundtables are led by IBDONA and the local council in question and are convened on an ordinary basis twice a year, every six months. In addition, specific working commissions are set up to carry out projects such as training or the drafting of action protocols.

The endowment will be distributed as €875,000 in 2024 and €1.5 million for the following three years.
