Aid to compensate for the first year of contributions for the self-employed authorised

The Consell de Govern has authorised, at the proposal of the Conselleria de Empresa, Empleo y Energía, the advance payment without prior guarantee of 100% of the amount of the “Cuota Cero” aid to compensate the costs of the first year of the flat rate for self-employed workers resident in the Balearic Islands.

Through this call for subsidies, the Regional Ministry aims to promote and consolidate self-employment.

Thus, it has been considered that there are reasons of public interest to process the payment in advance and without prior requirement of any guarantee, which represents a more effective way to achieve the objectives of this initiative, to ensure that the aid is really practical and that this allows the beneficiaries to maintain with guarantees the registration in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA).

The “Zero Contribution” subsidy scheme has been launched for the first time this year and is aimed at self-employed workers of any age. The amounts will cover contributions from 1 July 2023, although people registered as of 1 January 2023 will be eligible, and they will be able to receive a proportional subsidy within the deadlines established in the rules. This call has a budget of one million euros.
