This call aims to provide housing for those students who have to study in Barcelona and cannot do so for financial reasons.

The Executive Council of the Consell Insular de Menorca approved the rules and the call for applications to renew, for another year, the selection of students to live in the Casa de Menorca in Barcelona.

The purpose of this call is to regulate access to vacant accommodation places at the Casa de Menorca in Barcelona for the 2024/25 academic year, aimed at Menorcan students who wish to study in the city, on a shared room basis. In this way, this aid aims to ensure that no person with the will and ability to study in Menorca but who cannot do so in Barcelona is left without the opportunity to do so due to a lack of financial resources.

You can now present the required documentation to live in the Casa de Menorca in Barcelona

For this year, 7 places are available on a shared room basis. These vacancies are open to students registered in any municipality of Menorca who are studying or beginning studies that cannot be done on the island but can be done in Barcelona, specifically university studies, vocational training studies, official studies lasting more than one academic year and studies in institutions of recognised prestige.

Students must meet a series of requirements to obtain a place. The rules, already published in the BOIB, will take into account the economic scale and the academic scale, arriving at a final score that will determine the selection. The period of stay in each of the places is from 1 September to 31 August and the monthly fee is 190 euros. The deadline for applications is 5 July. Once the place has been awarded, the student must present proof of enrolment for the studies.
