14 million euros in the water cycle

“The pillars that support the state of collective well-being are based on continuous investment in infrastructures that guarantee basic services. The investments made year after year in all those invisible infrastructures, especially in the water cycle, are essential to minimise pipe breaks, water losses, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the service and successfully and quickly manage any incident,” says the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.

The council will continue to work on the sectorisation of the drinking water network with the implementation of the rings in the industrial estate area. Work will also continue on the purchase and installation of digital meters to control drinking water consumption in the municipality while promoting more responsible consumption.

Improvements and renovations will also be made to the Serral and S’Ermita water tanks, and work will continue cleaning the drinking water tanks. At the same time, work is being carried out on the project to create a new tank in Inca.

On the other hand, the Town Hall will continue with the work to improve the water, rainwater, wastewater and drinking water networks throughout the municipality. Specifically, work is planned for Avinguda Germanies, Carrer Dureta, Obispo Cima, Glòria and Canaleta, as well as in the area of Carrer Sant Domingo, Biniamar and Plaça del Blanquer, among others. As for the drinking water network, works will also be carried out to improve and renovate the network in Carrer Sant Francesc, Carrer Sant Bartomeu, Carrer Antoni Fluxà and Carrer Ponent, as well as in other areas of the city.

At the same time, investments are also planned to renovate the rainwater network in the streets Mandrava, Antoni Maura, Es Terrers, Antoni Torrandell, Germanies and Sa Quartera, among other actions. Likewise, important projects to improve the wastewater network will be promoted, such as the works to connect Gran Vía Colón with the Regional Hospital or the works in the Reyes Católicos area up to the treatment plant, in which approximately 2 million euros will be invested. In addition, other interventions will be carried out: the first on Avinguda Antoni Maura, Carrer Fray Antoni Torrens, Plaça Es Blanquer, Es Terrers; and the other on Carrer Rafael Albertí and Plaça del Blanquer.
