110,000 for the second phase of the UN project in Tunisia

The project aims to build a youth club in Gribis, Zarzis North (Medenine Governorate).

The aim is to steer young people away from forms of radicalisation associated with violence and extremism.

The Consell de Govern has authorised the Minister of Families and Social Affairs to grant a subsidy of 110,000 euros from the 2024 general budget to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Tunisia. This grant will enable the second phase of the project “Creation of a youth club in Gribis, Zarzis Nord, Governorate of Medenine” to be carried out during 2024 and will complete the construction of the building begun in the first phase. The project has a total cost of €218,170.

The aim is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the young population and their inclusion in society, ensuring their active participation in sustainable development. Accordingly, it is planned to build a space for young people to develop their talents and direct them towards cultural, sporting and associative activities, in order to combat forms of radicalisation.
