Francesc Forteza Forteza, better known by his stage name of Xesc Forteza, was born in 1926 and from a very young age, he was already on stage in school performances. In 1947 he joined the Artis company, where he worked until 1967, when he founded his own company with which he premiered some fifty productions, with some legendary titles such as Majórica and Es viatge del tio capellà, among many others. From this point on, he followed a meteoric career until he became one of the most popular actors and playwrights of the 20th century in Mallorca.

However, his career was not limited to the premiere of comedy and vaudeville with his company. With Los Valldemossa and Margaluz, he toured numerous European countries such as Denmark, Germany, England, Iceland… He also starred in Molière’s L’Avar (1987), in a production by the Centro Dramático de las Islas Baleares, and La gran ilusión, by the Centro Dramático de la Generalitat de Cataluña, a play that ran for over a hundred days at the Teatre Romea in Barcelona.
