Throughout the 2023/2024 season, the Teatre Principal has made 10 theatrical co-productions with island companies, while it has made 12 productions of its own, including lyrical, theatrical and musical productions.

All this activity has meant a wide range of up to 144 technical and artistic staff contracts from September 2023 to June 2024. This has resulted in the hiring of 19 actors and actresses; 24 technicians, props, dressers, etc.; 53 chorus members; 7 stage directors, musical and creative directors; 7 extras; 30 soloists; and 11 musicians.

This season has also seen an increase in activity related to the educational programme. The guided visits to the Teatre Principal, which have mainly taken place on Wednesdays, have had 2,172 users, who have made 129 visits. The vast majority of these visits were from schools, but we were also visited by senior citizens’ centres, neighbourhood groups and Open House groups.

Special mention should be made of the Opera Europa Human Resources Forum which was held last May on the occasion of the last opera Romeu et Juliette.

Among the growing audiences, there are those of schoolchildren who attend regular performances at a reduced price of 4 euros. This season, 1,491 students accompanied by their teachers, have attended performances, mostly theatrical, at general public times and in two matinee performances, which have had 671 spectators.

On the other hand, next Tuesday the 16th of July, the Board of Trustees of the Fundació Teatre Principal de Palma will meet to approve the 2023/2024 programme. Following the Board of Trustees, a preview of the programme from September 2024 to January 2025 will be announced.
