The Government of the Balearic Islands holds the exams for the CAIB administration’s higher and technical faculties

The tests for the 43 vacancies were held today at the UIB Campus, the IES Joan Ramis i Ramis in Menorca and the IES Sa Blanca Dona in Ibiza.

The Govern de les Illes Balears (Government of the Balearic Islands), through the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP), held the first multiple-choice exams on Saturday 14th July in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, corresponding to the competitive examination procedure for the higher faculties, for which 12 positions are available, and the technical staff, for which 31 positions are available, of the special bodies of the CAIB Administration. The tests took place in the Jovellanos building on the UIB Campus, at the IES Joan Ramis y Ramis secondary school in Menorca and the IES Blanca Dona secondary school in Ibiza, and began at 9:30 a.m. The tests were held at the Jovellanos building on the UIB Campus, at the IES Joan Ramis y Ramis secondary school in Menorca and the IES Blanca Dona secondary school in Ibiza.

As for the higher facultative corps, the government has announced 7 posts for the island of Mallorca in the speciality of computer science, 2 in information science, 1 in advertising and 2 in training. In total, the expected number of candidates for the exams for the higher facultative corps was 147, of which 63 finally took the exams.

As for the technical facultative corps, there were 220 applicants, of which 165 were in Mallorca, 39 were in Menorca and 16 were in Ibiza. A total of 94 applicants applied (69 in Mallorca, 19 in Menorca and 6 in Ibiza). By islands, in Mallorca 5 social work posts, 3 social educators, 7 physiotherapists, 2 librarians and 1 archive and museum were put out to tender. In Menorca, 1 post in social work, 1 in conservation and restoration of graphic documents, 3 in librarianship, 2 in conservation and restoration, 2 in archives and museums and 1 in physiotherapy have been put out to tender. Finally, in Ibiza, 2 positions for social educators and 1 for archives and museums have been put out to tender.

All these posts correspond to the ordinary offer for 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The CAIB Administration had not carried out these first selective entrance examinations in the execution of the ordinary offer since 10 May 2022 in the case of the Higher Faculty Corps and since 30 October 2018 in the case of the Technical Corps.
