This year, the IBJOVE is making improvements to the camp, including the addition of fifty tents.

The president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, has announced this Monday investments worth 244,000 € for the La Victòria camp, a space managed by the Balearic Youth Institute (IBJOVE), with an average of 280 users per day. Some of these users have been using the fifty tents for the first time, with a total capacity of 348 people and a cost of around €100,000, almost half of the planned investment for this year in the camp, which will be €244,063. With this investment, the wooden bases and the adaptation ramp for people with reduced mobility have also been adapted, as well as the maintenance works of the rainwater and the retaining walls of the camping area.

The president visited, together with the councillor for Families and Social Affairs, Catalina Cirer, and the director of IBJOVE, Tomàs Amer, the La Victòria camp, where almost 10,000 young people will spend this summer. ‘A space like this is essential, a leisure space for young people and families, a space with deep roots. For this reason, we want it to have quality facilities to welcome all those who come here, said Prohens.

In addition to the camping area, they were able to visit the dining rooms, toilets and library, and the latest adaptation works for people with reduced mobility. They also visited the works carried out by the Balearic Institute of Nature (IBANAT): the improvement of the emergency exit and the fire protection safety strip.
