This non-profit organisation aims to bring together and promote the varied cultural and social manifestations of Ciutadella.

One of the most important activities that the Cercle Artístic has carried out is the 1970 launch of the Premi Born de Teatre, which is awarded to unpublished theatrical texts that are highly prestigious among playwrights.

‘The Department of the Presidency is once again backing this event, which is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious prizes for theatre texts and for recognition in Spain. This, since its first edition, has become an excellent platform through which our island is promoted nationally and internationally,’ says the president of the Consell Insular, Adolfo Vilanfranca.
