Inca opens Can Raió street

‘With this action, we are responding to a historical demand from the neighbourhood, as the old configuration of the street made traffic in this area very difficult. We firmly believe that the opening of this road, which completes Can Raió street, will allow for the regeneration of the area, as it represents a new public space for the citizens,’ said the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.

For his part, Andreu Caballero, the councillor for Urban Planning and Mobility, stresses that ‘the purpose of this project is to improve road traffic and increase connectivity with two of the city’s main arteries, Calle General Luque and Gran Via Paloma’.

The project promoted by Inca City Council is part of the plan to improve urban mobility and circulation in the capital of Raiguer. Specifically, the work carried out has connected Can Raió street with General Luque avenue, reconfiguring the space that makes up a total surface area of 2,697.12 m2.

This will improve road and pedestrian accessibility. In addition, a 200 m2 public space has also been created, in which new trees have been planted and benches and a table will be installed for playing chadillo in the open air.

At the same time, the lighting, sewage, rainwater and drinking water services have also been renewed. In addition, coinciding with the works, the asphalt paving of Calle General Luque, the section between Gran Vía Colom and Calle des Tren, has been renewed.
