The aim is to support general and promotional activities that the fishermen’s guilds of Menorca may carry out between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2024. The deadline for submitting applications is 15 November.

The Executive Council of the Consell Insular de Menorca has approved the regulatory bases for grants to the fishermen’s guilds of Menorca and the call for applications for the year 2024

The total amount and budget item is 60,000 euros and the maximum amount for each fishermen’s association is 22,000 euros. The application and justification will be submitted at the same time so that the aid will be justified using a simplified supporting account.

‘The interest of the Department of Economy and General Services is to support and collaborate with the fishermen’s guilds of Menorca to contribute to the sustainable development of the fishing sector, balancing the marine resources, the means of production and the catches as is appropriate in a Biosphere Reserve territory’, says the councillor of Economy and General Services, Maria Antònia Taltavull.
