In the 16 ATIB offices in Menorca, Formentera and the Part Forana of Mallorca, 4,420 appointments and 5,278 people have been attended to

This year was the 28th edition of this service, which has been organised since 1997.

The Renta Ágil service of the Balearic Islands Tax Agency (ATIB) has helped to file 5,210 personal income tax (IRPF) returns this year for the 2023 tax year. This figure represents an increase of 9.2% compared to the 4,769 registered last year.

The ATIB provides this service in collaboration with the Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria (AEAT), which is responsible for the IRPF campaign, and priority has once again been given to the municipalities of the Part Forana which are not covered by the State Agency’s service. In total, 16 service points were set up in ATIB offices and in premises provided by the local councils, mainly in the Part Forana of Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera.

These points were set up in Alaró (130 declarations submitted), Alcúdia (528), Algaida (327), Andratx (276), Capdepera (413), Ciutadella (708), Felanitx (436), Formentera (601), Pollença (399), Porreres (186), Santanyí (291), Santa Margalida (165), ses Salines (101), Sineu (103), Sóller (483) and Valldemossa (63), Sóller (483) and Valldemossa (63), and cover 35 municipalities, including Ariany, Artà, Banyalbufar, Campos, Deià, Escorca, es Migjorn Gran, Esporles, Estellencs, Ferreries, Fornalutx, Lloret, Maria de la Salut, Montuïri, Muro, Sant Joan, Santa Eugènia, Sencelles and Son Servera.

Between the 3rd of June and the 1st of July of this year, 4,420 face-to-face appointments were attended, reaching 5,278 people. Of the 5,210 tax returns filed, 4,647 were online. The AEAT provides the service at its offices in five municipalities: Palma, Eivissa, Maó, Inca and Manacor.

The 2023 income tax campaign that began on 3 April in the Balearic Islands is the one that has had the most deductions, the most taxpayers who have been able to benefit because they meet the required income levels and the greatest fiscal impact. In total, there have been 23 regional deductions to be applied in the personal income tax return (IRPF), 8 of them -35%- improved or newly created. With the increase in many cases of the required income levels, 81% of taxpayers could benefit from these deductions.
