Until the 7th of September, you can visit three new proposals, including “Fashion & Art” by Adlib Ibiza.

This Friday, the Consell de Mallorca is opening three new exhibitions in La Misericòrdia. Until the 7th of September, three new proposals can be visited in the cultural centre, including ‘Fashion & Art’, an exhibition by Adlib Ibiza Bridal, which has been organised by the Consell d’Eivissa.

The vice president of the Consell de Mallorca and councillor of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, stressed that “this summer, lovers of Ibizan fashion have a must-see event at La Misericòrdia with an innovative multi-sensory experience in which different senses are combined: Sight, through the paintings and dresses; hearing, with the sounds of Ibiza’s nature; smell, from the perfume that is reproduced from the Ibizan countryside, and the non-palpable touch that brings the fabrics closer to the spectators”.

Roca detailed that “the exhibition combines art and fashion in the form of paintings by the artist Marta Torres and wedding dresses by nine designers who are part of the Adlib Ibiza brand”. It is an exhibition of bridal fashion dresses and accessories in which you can see how the artisan procedures and techniques of creation coexist naturally with the pictorial work of the artist Marta Torres. The Adlib designers and brands participating in this exhibition are Ibimoda, Ivanna Mestres, Monika Maxim Ibiza, Tony Bonet, Vintage Ibiza, Virginia Vald, Espadenyes Torres, K de Kosekose and S72 Hat.

Exhibitions for all tastes

The other two proposals also opening this week in the Centre Cultural la Misericòrdia are the work by Mallorcan painter Guillermo Gil Pons, “Una vida pintant Mallorca”, a pictorial exhibition of the Serra de Tramuntana, and the exhibition “El Rey a los ojos de los pintores españoles” (The King in the eyes of Spanish painters), which brings together a series of portraits of King Felipe VI painted by different Spanish painters throughout history. In addition, the latter exhibition includes the unpublished sculpture of Philip VI by the artist Rodolfo Navarro.

Adlib Ibiza’s “Fashion & Art” exhibition will be on display on the ground floor and first floor of the cultural centre; the Guillermo Gil Pons exhibition will be on the first floor, and the exhibition of the portraits of King Felipe VI will be in the Misericòrdia chapel. All of them can be visited until 7 September.
