The insular institution improves the tool, a pioneer in its field, that allows consultation in digital form on the regulation of the PTM related to the cadastral plots of the island

The Consell de Mallorca has updated the viewer of the Territorial Plan of Mallorca to adapt it to modification number 3 of the Plan, which was approved by the plenary session of the island institution. In this way, the tool, a pioneer in the administrations, is improved, allowing town councils, professionals or any citizen to access online the regulations of the Territorial Plan related to the cadastral plots of Mallorca.

On the other hand, it also makes it possible to generate reports automatically, in which the different figures of the Plan that affect the plots are notified. This automation of reports makes it possible to reduce the number of citizen queries to the land planning service and is an example of the digitalisation of public services.

The island’s director of Modernisation, Transparency and Innovation, Josep Cerdà, stressed that “this update is a first step that reaffirms the Consell de Mallorca’s commitment to reactivate the Territorial Information Systems area of the island institution, to make the geographic information generated by the Consell de Mallorca available to citizens, companies and other administrations. In this way, access to this information is facilitated openly and digitally, and unnecessary steps are eliminated for the citizens”.

This update results from a process of reactivation of the Territorial Information Systems (SIT) area. In this sense, a new SIT infrastructure has been created, and it is intended to migrate all the services currently offered by the Consell de Mallorca on its geoportal, the IDE Mallorca. This SIT reactivation plan also plans to increase the number of services offered in the SDI and thus enhance the digitisation of the geographic services of the Consell de Mallorca.
