In total, the private educational centres supported with public funds will provide more than 700 new places in the first cycle of infant education.

The declaration is possible thanks to the Decree Law of urgent measures of administrative simplification and rationalisation.

Declared the autonomic interest for the creation of places for children from 0 to 3 years old in twenty subsidised centres on Mallorca

The Consell de Govern has authorised today the declaration of autonomic interest of the improvement or enlargement of twenty private educational centres supported with public funds (subsidised) in Mallorca for the creation of places for children from 0 to 3 years old.

The declaration aims to increase the number of places in the first cycle of infant education to meet the growing demand for schooling. The initiative is included in Decree Law 3/2024, of 24 May, on urgent measures for administrative simplification and rationalisation.

Thus, CEI Barberitos Tenis, CEI Estrelletes, CCEI Nuestra Señora de la Providencia, CEI Sa Capçaneta, the schools Balmes, Miraculosa, La Salle, Madre Alberta, Pedro Poveda, Sagrat Cor, in Palma; Ramon Llull, in Andratx; Sant Alfons, in Felanitx; Sant Francesc d’Assís, in Felanitx; Sant Francesc d’Assís, in Felanitx; Sant Francesc d’Assís and Sant Francesc d’Andratx; Sant Francesc d’Assís, in Manacor; Sant Vicenç de Paül, in Cas Capiscol, Coll d’en Rabassa, la Vileta, Manacor and Sóller; Verge de Monti-sion, in Porreres, and CEI Xin Xirineu, in Can Picafort (Santa Margalida) will increase the number of places in the first cycle of infant education.

Between all the centres that have applied for the declaration of regional interest, more than 700 places will be created for children from 0 to 3 years of age.
