Vive la Artesanía’ returns to the port of Eivissa on the 13th of August with the participation of 20 artisans

The ‘Vive la Artesanía’ fair returns to the port of Eivissa with its fifth edition starting on the 13th of August with a total of 19 little houses to accommodate the 20 craftsmen and master craftsmen participating in this fair, which will cover approximately 126 square metres.

Today, the councillor for Economic Promotion, Human Resources and Municipal Cooperation of the Consell de Eivissa, María Fajarnés, together with the president of the PIMEEF Craftsmen’s Association, presented the fair at a press conference. “Vive la Artesanía is a market that was born as a result of the pandemic, thus supporting the craft sector here in Ibiza”, said councillor Maria Fajarnés, who also pointed out that it is fair that “works very well and year after year has been consolidated and today is a meeting point for crafts during the summer season, as well as a complementary and dynamic offer for the island of Eivissa”.

“What we want is to showcase the value of handcrafted products made in Ibiza and all the talent that exists in this fair, where we will find little houses with painters, potters, liquor makers and jewellers, among others, and with an unbeatable location in the heart of the Marina district,” explained councillor Maria Fajarnés.

For her part, the president of the Association of Artisans of the PIMEEF, Isabel Echávarri stressed that “this market is also very important for us because it is a way for them to get to know our work, our workshops and to come and see them”. The president of the Association also stressed that “this year there will also be some new features such as artistic make-up, which will be great fun for people, or for example a place where you can engrave glass, so we invite everyone to enjoy this unique fair.

Vive la Artesanía’ is a market organised by the Consell de Ibiza, through FECOEV. It has the collaboration of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands and PIMEEF, and will be held in the Port of Eivissa from the 13th of August until the 22nd of September from 7 pm to midnight from Monday to Sunday.
