During his presentation speech, Llorenç Bauzá emphasised the firm support of the City Council for this traditional regatta, considering it “one of the most important on the nautical calendar, where we have the great opportunity to see the participation of 40 classic and historic boats, including ‘La Balear'”.
At this point, Bauzà stressed the participation of ‘La Balear’, highlighting the value of this regatta which this year brings together classic boats from 8 other countries.
Finally, the mayor thanked the organisers of the regatta for their commitment to the environment by holding complementary activities “which are aimed at promoting marine conservation”.

The director of the Club de Mar-Mallorca, José Luis Arrom, for his part, stressed the fact that, for the first time, this regatta is being held over four days, one more than in previous editions, and that it is a clear example “of our naval history and heritage”.
Finally, the commodore and director of the regatta, Manuel Nadal, recalled that the Illes Balears Clàssics regatta is presented as a “great floating museum with classic and regatta boats” and that it “contributes to the maintenance and conservation of these types of boats”.
