Prohens pledges to provide aid from the government for the areas affected by the DANA in es Mercadal and Alaior
The president, who was accompanied during her visit by the councillor of the Presidency and Public Administrations, Antònia Maria Estarellas, the president of the Consell de Menorca, Dolfo Vilafranca, and the respective mayors of Mercadal and Alaior, Joan Palliser and José Luís Benejam, was able to see first-hand the effects of the DANA on the municipalities and to convey the support of the Govern de les Illes Balears (Government of the Balearic Islands).
Prohens once again thanked the emergency personnel for their work during the storm and the responsibility of the public, which, despite the considerable material damage caused by the DANA, has meant that no serious personal injuries have been reported. He also wanted to highlight the collaboration and coordination between all levels of the administration during the DANA, highlighting the continuous contact from the first moment between the government, councils and town councils.
