PortsIB starts the contracting process for the cleaning of the ports of Menorca

According to the justification memorandum of 29 June 2024, the need for this contract arises from the lack of adequate personnel to carry out the cleaning services required in Menorca’s ports. In recent years, specific particularities have been identified in these ports that justify the need for a separate contract from the rest of the port facilities in the autonomous community.

The cleaning contract will include the inner Port de Ciutadella, the outer Port de Ciutadella or Dic de Son Blanc (including the terminal) and the Port de Fornells. It has been decided to value and pay for the work by hours and days, rather than by specific actions, to better adapt to the variable needs of the ports during peak periods.

The budget for the contract is broken down as follows: 75,917.04 euros (VAT excluded) for November and December 2024, 455,502.28 euros (VAT excluded) for the year 2025, and 379,585.23 euros (VAT excluded) for the first ten months of 2026. The estimated value of the contract is 2,733,013.64 euros (VAT excluded), taking into account possible extensions and modifications. The contract may be extended for a first time for 24 months and a second time for 12 months.

With this initiative, PortsIB reinforces its commitment to the cleaning and maintenance of its ports, ensuring an efficient service adapted to the specific needs of Menorca’s facilities.
