The climb, organised by the Antics Blavets Association, will start on the night of the 7th and 8th of September from 45 municipalities on the island and will bring together more than 5,000 walkers. President Galmés, who will also take part in the Pujada a Lluc de la Part Forana starting from the quay of Cala Figuera, in Santanyí, thanked the association for ‘keeping the walk alive, which is already an emblem of our island’.

For this reason, ‘the association counts on the collaboration of the island institution so that, year after year, this activity, which is of incalculable value in our culture, becomes a reality’. The Pujada a Lluc de la Part Forana has the support of the Consell de Mallorca, which is contributing 67,545.39 euros, an increase of 12,000 euros over last year.

For his part, the president of the Antics Blavets Association, Llorenç Gelabert, wanted to acknowledge the Consell’s participation ‘which allows Mallorcans to take part in the different editions of the climb with great enthusiasm’.

To conclude, President Galmés encouraged all Mallorcans to participate in this tradition ‘so deeply rooted in the villages of our island, where participants come together to do sport and enjoy our landscapes’. He also invited the new generations ‘to continue this tradition and make it their own’.
