The educational offer of the IES CTEIB is complemented by three training cycles: technician in physical and sports activities in the natural environment; higher technician in teaching and social and sports animation; and higher technician in physical conditioning.

The manager of the Fundació per a l’Esport Balear, Eladi Huertas, recalls the importance of accompanying sportsmen and women in their training stage. ‘Having an education and building a plan for the future is essential for the correct personal and professional development of our athletes. Although today all of them are excelling in their sports, the reality is that in a few years, there will be few who will be professionally involved in sports, although our aim is that they never disassociate themselves from the world of sport and that they continue to be involved in one way or another.

The new management model of the CTEIB

This new academic year also starts with the beginning of the Govern de les Illes Balears’ commitment to a new management model of the CTEIB based on the athletes and to optimise the existing resources to achieve the best results. This new model, which will be implemented gradually, is based on six axes: athletes as a priority; optimisation of resources; equal opportunities; long-term excellence; objectivity and transparency; and quality before quantity.
