These diaries, produced in two versions, one for primary and the other for secondary schools, have been produced in collaboration with various social organisations.

The Consell d’Eivissa publishes and distributes 9,500 school diaries promoting ‘healthy, inclusive and equal’ values

The Consell Insular de Eivissa has distributed 9,500 school diaries in two versions, one designed for primary school students and the other for secondary school students. The councillor of the Department of Social Welfare, Family and Equality of the Consell de Eivissa, Carolina Escandell, and the coordinator of the Centre for Studies and Prevention of Addictive Behaviour, CEPCA, Belén Alvite, presented these diaries today at a press conference, which have already been distributed to the island’s schools.

This fourth edition of the diaries has been produced with the collaboration of children from different schools. Carolina Escandell explained that ‘we wanted young people to participate in the preparation of these diaries, which are made by young people for young people, and this is the reason for the success of this now consolidated action’. Escandell also detailed that ‘once again, equality and inclusion have been the tools chosen to draw up these agendas, firstly because we believe that they are the only ones to promote healthy and positive values among young people who, of course, are the future, but above all they are our present’.

For her part, the director of CEPCA, Belén Alvite, stressed that each diary has its own identity, aimed at each age group, ‘for example, the primary school diary does not have QR codes because our aim is precisely that they do not use mobile phones so much from such a young age, and therefore it seemed a contradiction, something that has been included in the secondary school diaries’. The CEPCA director explained that this primary agenda includes tools on ‘how to have a healthy sleep, emotional management, the correct use of new technologies, how to manage bullying or harassment’.
