The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities has approved a pioneering resolution that will, for the first time, allow for the first cycle of preschool education (0-3 years) to be subsidised from the 2024-2025 academic year. The measure aims to expand the educational offer in this cycle and guarantee access to early childhood education to more families.

The resolution establishes that subsidised centres that meet the requirements of the current regulations will be able to offer the new educational service, thus responding to the growing demand for places for children aged 0-3 years.

The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities introduces, for the first time, the educational agreement for the first cycle of preschool education from the 2024-2025 academic year

It is planned to establish the educational agreement in 105 centres, with 349 classrooms dedicated to infant education.

Given the importance of this initiative, the Regional Ministry is working hard to bring forward the deadlines of the ordinary agreement process.
