La Misericordia has had a large influx of people, as it has been the chosen venue for many of the events being held during these days. One of them was the craft fair which hosted the exclusive exhibition of 20 accredited artisans to prevent unfair competition.
Saturday saw the celebration of the first Fiesta de la Pastelería y de los Hornos, with traditional bakeries and ovens of the island, where more than 2,000 portions were distributed in less than two hours and eight prizes were awarded. The cultural centre also invited 1,500 people to discover the history of Mallorca projected onto the façades of the Misericordia courtyard, thanks to a video mapping show.
The headquarters of the Consell de Mallorca opened its doors to more than 500 people. Some visitors have known the rooms of the Palace with the executive councillors: Antoni Fuster, Guillermo Sánchez, José Marcial Rodríguez and Fernando Rubio. On the other hand, others attended one of the ten dramatised routes that told the history of the Kingdom of Mallorca, under the title Game of Queens, directed by Miquel Más Fiol and performed by the actresses Ana Gago, Bel Albertí and Bet Palou. Five of the ten routes were simultaneously interpreted in sign language, in order to bring people with hearing disabilities closer to the event.
The sports day held at the San Ferran sports centre was one of the big attractions of the weekend, with pool games, dancing, paddle tennis, sling shot and alternative sports, in which hundreds of families took part in full.
