Due to high demand, the workshop will be repeated on 9 October at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca, and on 10 and 11 October it will be held in Eivissa and Menorca, respectively.

The aim is to provide participants with a clear, up-to-date vision of vocational training and intensive dual vocational training.

The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities, in collaboration with the Bertelsmann Foundation and CaixaBank Dualiza, and in the framework of the agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca, is holding this morning an informative workshop entitled ‘Strategies for orientation towards the new dual vocational training’. The workshop, which is taking place in the assembly hall of the Conselleria, is aimed at guidance counsellors, teachers, management teams, members of the POAPs and inspectors, to provide them with a clear and up-to-date vision of vocational training and intensive dual vocational training.

Around fifty teachers are taking part today in the workshop

The event was attended by the Director General of Vocational Training and Educational Planning, Maria Isabel Salas; the Director General of Early Childhood, Attention to Diversity and Educational Improvement, Neus Riera, as well as representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca, including Josep Lluís Aguiló, second vice-president and president of the Training Commission, and Cristina Julià, director of the Training Department.

The workshop speaker is César García Cortés, a renowned national consultant specialising in dual vocational training, who during the course of the workshop will provide participants with detailed information and strategies that will help them to better guide students interested in these training options. Aspects such as the ‘Orientation and VET’ project of the Bertelsmann Foundation and CaixaBank Dualiza, the integrated VET system and the dual nature of VET or the existing resources to facilitate information and improve vocational guidance towards VET in schools will be discussed.

The Bertelsmann Foundation and CaixaBank Dualiza work together to foster quality educational guidance and promote intensive dual vocational training as a training alternative that allows young people to acquire skills in a real working environment.

Given the demand for this workshop, it will be held again on 9 October at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca. On the other hand, on 10 and 11 October it will also be held in Eivissa and Menorca, respectively, thanks to the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce of Eivissa and Formentera and the Chamber of Commerce of Menorca.
