The Inca Town Council and the Associations of Older People celebrate the International Day of Older People with a big party on 6th October. Thus, next Sunday the skate of the General Luque Barracks will host, from 10 am to 6 pm, the 1st Party of the Elderly of Inca.

‘We aim to organise a festive day of brotherhood and sisterhood while promoting and claiming an active old age. The aim, therefore, is to promote a positive image of the elderly and raise awareness of the challenges and problems of this group,’ stresses the councillor for the Elderly of Inca.

Inca celebrates the International Day of the Elderly with a big day

For his part, the mayor of Inca stresses that ‘we work hand in hand with the city associations to be able to respond efficiently and quickly to their needs. Inca’s Associations for the Elderly play an essential role in Inca and undoubtedly contribute to the city’s dynamism with various activities and proposals’.

Thus, the day will start at 10 am with a wide range of workshops and activities on a variety of topics such as the digital world, make-up, photography and healthy eating habits. There will also be traditional games, online and Sevillian dancing.

The ticket price is 12 euros and includes access to all activities and lunch with a drink. Tickets can be purchased at the Elderly People’s Associations and the Town Hall. Those who do not wish to stay for lunch will be able to access the workshops without having to buy a ticket.
