The twelve winners of the Serra de Tramuntana Photography Competition are now known

The jury members have chosen the twelve best photographs in each of the four categories of the contest, snapshots that capture the essence and values that make the Serra de Tramuntana a World Heritage Site. The competition categories are: products and producers of the Serra de Tramuntana, Serra de Tramuntana villages, heritage elements and lived experiences.

The Serra de Tramuntana Island Director, Antoni Solivellas, stated that ‘the purpose of the contest is to help disseminate both the elements that make up the cultural landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana and the key players who, through their efforts, maintain the essence of the Serra de Tramuntana’. The jury is made up of the island director, who is the president, as well as the manager of the Serra de Tramuntana Consortium, Lluís Vallcaneras; journalist, writer and cultural guide, Joan Carles Palos; and AFONIB-associated photographers Juan Ángel Martínez and Pedro Riera.

Each of the four categories consists of a first prize, worth 800 euros, and two honourable mentions, worth 400 and 200 euros, respectively. Among the twelve winners selected by the selection committee, there will now be a new category with a popular jury via the social networks, with an extra 100 euros for the winner, who will be the cover photograph of the Serra de Tramuntana Consortium’s 2025 calendar.
