Thus, with this agreement, the Red Cross aims to promote two projects. On the one hand, to promote school success in the stages of childhood and youth for children aged 6 and 16 who have difficulties in their compulsory school process and belong to families at risk of poverty and exclusion. In addition literacy classes for Maghrebi women in a situation of social difficulty and who have a low level of qualification in their language and poor communication skills in Spanish.

‘The City Council is committed to these projects to promote the quality of life of children and also to integrate women who are in a vulnerable situation into the community,’ says Moreno.

The Red Cross is a non-profit organisation that places special emphasis on gender equality to ensure that there is no discrimination in the allocation of resources or benefits in access to services.
