This exhibition, which will feature more than 100 paintings by Joaquim Torrents, will be on display from 24 October 2024 to 16 March 2025.
The Government of the Balearic Islands, through the Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca, is collaborating with the first exhibition of the artist Joaquim Torrents Lladó in his hometown, Badalona. Specifically, the Government will lend 17 works owned by the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands for the exhibition, according to the selection made by the exhibition curator and daughter of the painter, Maria Torrents.

The Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca lends 17 works by the artist Joaquim Torrens Lladó to the Museum of Badalona for a temporary exhibition
This exhibition, accompanied by the corresponding catalogue, brings together a group of more than 100 paintings by Joaquim Torrents Lladó (Badalona 1946-Palma 1993) from different periods, themes and origins, from various institutions, private individuals and the family.
In addition to the works on loan from the Balearic Government, 20 pieces from private collections and another 40 works owned by different members of the painter’s family will be on display in Badalona.
The photographs in the exhibition catalogue, thanks to the support of the Directorate General of Culture, have been taken by the Mallorcan photographer David Bonet.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on 24 October at the Museu de Badalona and will be open to the public until 16 March 2025.
