Industry and Tourism grants 19.7 million in aid under the Tourism Experiences Programme 2023
The aim of this call for proposals, with a budget of 20 million euros, was to improve the range of experiences that Spain offers its visitors and to attract quality tourism. Of the almost 20 million euros distributed in the call for proposals, more than 70% went to private sector actors, whether companies, associations or foundations.
Once the award is published, the funds will begin to be transferred to these beneficiary entities so that the projects can be implemented within 18 months.
The Experiences initiative has had a total budget of 100 million euros in various editions until 2023 and has sought to support networks of public and private actors who, distributed throughout the national territory, work on the same experiences. All with the aim of improving the offer that Spain makes available to its visitors and attracting quality tourism.
The programme is part of Component 14, Plan for the modernisation and competitiveness of the tourism sector, of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).
