The authorisation allows PortsIB to start the dossier for the maintenance service of the green areas of several ports of the island.
The contract, with a duration of two years, will guarantee the maintenance and improve the environment of the ports under autonomous management.
The Consell de Govern has approved the authorisation for Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB) to initiate the expenditure file corresponding to the contract for the gardening maintenance service for the directly managed ports on the island of Mallorca. This contract aims to maintain the gardening, trees and green areas of eleven ports under autonomous management, with a budget of 524,793.92 euros (excluding VAT) and twenty-four months.

Authorisation was given for the start of the gardening maintenance contract in the ports under direct management in Mallorca
The ports included in the service are the following:
– Port of Andratx (TM Andratx)
– Port of Colònia de Sant Jordi (TM Ses Salines)
– Port of Pollença (TM Pollença)
– Es Barcarés facility (TM Pollença)
– Port of Portocolom (TM Felanitx)
– Port of Porto Cristo (TM Manacor)
– Port of Porto Petro (TM Santanyí)
– Port of Cala Figuera (TM Santanyí)
– Port of Sóller (TM Sóller)
– Port of Cala Bona (TM Son Servera)
– Port of Cala Rajada (TM Capdepera)
This measure forms part of the competencies of Ports de les Illes Balears, the entity in charge of the management and maintenance of the public port domain of the autonomous community, including the care of port infrastructures and the green areas of the ports.
The total amount, including VAT, is 635,000.64 euros, and the contract will have a duration of two years. The aim of this economic item is to maintain the quality of the installations and to offer a well-cared-for and sustainable environment to the users of the ports and to the citizens in general.
