Mallorca’s great fair will have more than 8 km of exhibition space and more than 300 stalls.
This year the livestock exhibition includes a large display of native breeds of poultry and other international breeds.
There will also be a small sample of everything that can be found at the weekly Thursday market in the Plaza de Santa Maria la Major.
05/11/2024. The new square in Carrer Ferrilla was the setting this year for the presentation of the programme for Inca’s big week, the Dijous Bo. The Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno, and the Dijous Bo councillor, Maritxé Fernández, accompanied by other members of the council and representatives of local associations and entities, today unveiled the programme with all the events that will take place in the capital of Raiguer on the occasion of the great Mallorca Fair.
‘The time has come, yet another year, to show everything that makes up our true ‘orgullo inquero’ and to once again open the doors of our city-wide. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of the people who make this special day possible: those who collaborate with the organisation of all the events; and, on the other hand, those who take to the streets and fill the squares, taking part in all the activities’, emphasised Mayor Moreno during his speech.

For her part, Councillor Fernández wanted to highlight all that Dijous Bo means, especially for the ‘inquers’ and ‘inqueres’. ‘After the three fairs, the great fair of Mallorca is the explosion of our identity, tradition, culture…. Dijous Bo is part of the DNA of all inquers’, Fernández stresses.
The Dijous Bo Big Week is brought forward one day with the presentation of the book ‘10 anys de pregones del Dijous Bo. From 2007 to 2016’, which will be held on 7 November at the Teatro Principal in Inca. On the Friday before the big Mallorca fair, as tradition dictates, the opening speech will be given by the artisan Francisca Truyol Fàbregas.
Then, during the weekend before Dijous Bo, the festivity of Santa María la Mayor, the co-patron saint of Inca, is celebrated. During these days, the traditional bonfires of the verbena are held, as well as well-established events such as the Inc’Fern correfoc, the Gathering of Giants, the Vermut Fest and the Dijous Bo Rally. On the other hand, the Dijous Bo Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday 12th November at the Teatro Principal in Inca. The award winners are Antoni Seguí Villalonga and the Asociación de Cofradías de Semana Santa de Inca.
The farmers’ market will once again be the main feature of Wednesday and Dijous Bo, with hundreds of stalls and kilometres of exhibition space, which will be open from 10 a.m. on Wednesday. As every year, there will also be a livestock exhibition, an exhibition of vehicles, lorries, heavy machinery and agricultural machinery, a philatelic exhibition, a bird show, a plastic arts competition and many other activities.
This year, the Thursday Bo 2024 Livestock Exhibition includes an exhibition of native breeds of birds and other international breeds by ACAIB, as well as the exhibition and Morphological Competition of the Black Pig, the exhibition of birds of prey and the exhibition of dressage with horses, among others.
On the other hand, as a novelty, this year there will also be a small sample of everything that can be found at the weekly Thursday market, in Santa Maria la Major square.

At the same time, the presentation of the Dijous Bo 2024 programme was the official opening of the new road that connects Carrer Om with Carrer de na Ferrilla. The historic arch is now the gateway to a large public space and a single-platform street, improving connectivity and pedestrian circulation between the Sant Francesc neighbourhood and the city centre.
