The Regional Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Vera, and the Director General of Educational Planning and Management, Catalina Ginart, today visited CEIP Son Pisà in Palma, welcoming pupils for the first time in the first cycle of nursery education. The councillor and the director general were accompanied by the school’s director, Eduardo Arroyo.

The 299 new places for the first cycle of nursery education at 10 centres in the Balearic Islands come into service
Today, 299 new places in the first cycle of nursery education have come into operation in 10 centres in the Balearic Islands, following the end of the extraordinary enrolment process for children from 0 to 3 years of age. With this expansion, the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities continues to work to increase the number of places in this cycle, which is free thanks to the Government of the Balearic Islands’ extension of free education for the entire first cycle of nursery education.
In Palma, new places have been created at CC Centre Internacional d’Educació CIDE, CC Nuestra Señora de la Consolación, CEI Kaia, CEIP Anselm Turmeda and CEIP Son Pisà. In addition, new places have been made available at CEIP Joan Veny i Clar in Campos, CEIP Nadal Campaner Arrom in Costitx, CEIP Mare
