The Consell de Mallorca organises the round table ‘Dones que cuiden dones’ on the occasion of the 25N
The aim of the event is for each of them to share their experience from their sector and explain how they work to offer support and accompaniment to women who are going through complex situations. The speakers are Maria Mut, psychologist and coordinator of Casal Ariadna; María Domínguez Estela, social educator and director of the ‘Aurora’ programme; Francina Veny, chief inspector of the UFAM of the National Police; Lola Puertas, lawyer from the Legal Services Department of the Consell de Mallorca, and Elena Jiménez, gynaecologist at the Son Espases University Hospital.
The Minister of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, pointed out that the round table aims to ‘put a face to the professional response to violence’. The councillor also stressed that ‘it is important to get to know the human side of what makes women’s support services a reality’.
Antoni Fuster stated that at the Consell, we work firmly to eradicate male violence and to defend the rights of all women on our island. This round table is a clear example of the dedication we offer every day to give real and effective support to women who suffer violence’.
The Consell de Mallorca invites those who wish to attend to register at the following link before 15 November.
