He replaces José María Bautista, who is stepping down for personal reasons.

The Board of Trustees of the Fundació Mallorca Turisme approved this Friday the appointment of Marco Táboas as the new managing director of the Fundació Mallorca Turisme (FMT). He will begin his work at the Consell de Mallorca’s foundation on 1 December, replacing José María Bautista, who has resigned for personal reasons.

Táboas is a specialist in digital transformation, strategic leadership and innovation in the tourism and industrial sectors. Throughout his professional career, he has held different roles in business consulting, leadership and projects, sales and marketing.
Since April 2024 he has been leading Selina Hotels as Regional and Commercial Director EMEA. Previously, he has held positions at Ávoris Corporación Empresarial as online director of the OTA’s Division; Innovation and Digital Transformation consultant at Inetum; director of Strategic Innovation and Transformation at Yoidata; director of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Hierros y Aceros de Mallorca; Head of Digital at Halcón Viajes; founder and general director at Promo Turismo; director of international sales at Spanair, among others.

He has completed the Advanced General Management Programme at IE Business School; as well as the Strategic Innovation Programme and the Business Analytics and Insights Programme at ESADE.
