Every year, the Inca Town Council commemorates the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women with a special programme of events.

Once again this year, Inca Town Council is organising a full programme of activities to mark 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. ‘The Inca Town Council wants to show our commitment against male violence. Our fight is 365 days a year. That is why we are organising a whole series of very diverse and comprehensive activities to continue to raise awareness and to promote female empowerment and the fight against this social scourge.

Thus, on Monday 25 November at 9.00 a.m. the manifesto will be uploaded to the social networks and will be adapted to sign language. Afterwards, the commemorative banner will be hung on the façade of the Inca Town Hall by representatives of all the political forces of the consistory.

In addition, during the morning both schools and organisations in Inca will hold an exhibition of protest murals. During the day, it will be possible to vote for the most original that will be the next cover of the magazine ‘Inca con Voz de Mujer’ of the year 2025. There will also be a tribute to women murdered at the hands of their partners or ex-partners in 2024, collaborative action in memory of the victims of male violence and educational and informative stalls.

From 6 p.m. onwards there will be a reading of the manifesto in the Plaza de España, followed by a performance by Brujas de Mallorca, the Belladona Association and the Espai Dona. Finally, the dance group Lights On Company will perform.

Also, during the week before 25N a series of activities have been carried out, we highlight the workshop at the Museum of Footwear and Industry on the pursuit of Women’s Empowerment. Also, the storytelling and the information stand run by Espai Dona.
