The Bit Foundation has successfully closed the ninth edition of the Tramuntana Tech Talks, a series of conferences that have been held for the past nine years in November at ParcBit and CentreBit Menorca, with the collaboration of the Directorate General for Innovation and Digital Transformation.
The talks, organised on 5, 14, 21 and 28 November, have featured renowned speakers from the technology sector, who have shared experiences and practical knowledge with entrepreneurs, startups and the general public. Irene Gómez, CEO of Keybotic, opened the series at CentreBit Menorca with a talk on how to create disruptive products, finance them and bring them to market. Xavier Pladellorens, founder of Deporvillage, spoke at ParcBit about the growth and trajectory of his company to become a leader in sports e-commerce. Laura Martínez, co-founder of The Hoteles Network, analysed in the ParcBit press room the strategies for connecting sales teams and customer success in SaaS companies to maximise growth. To close the edition, Marek Fodor, co-founder of Atrápalo and Kantox, generated a lot of interest in the ParcBit Auditorium with his reflection on his successes and mistakes in more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and investor.

The Tramuntana Tech Talks close the ninth edition with more than 120 attendees
Within the series of talks on technological entrepreneurship organised by the Bit Foundation, 20 mentoring meetings and networking sessions have been held in parallel between the speakers, incubated and pre-incubated entrepreneurs of the Bit Foundation’s support programme for entrepreneurs, Emprenbit, thus contributing to the growth of the innovative business ecosystem of the Balearic Islands.
This cycle aims to promote entrepreneurship and technological innovation and put investors, experts and business people in contact with entrepreneurs who are just starting out and who benefit from listening to the experiences of both success stories and failures, as well as giving them the opportunity to have a mentoring session.
During the mentoring meetings held in November, topics covered included strengthening business models, adjusting value propositions, market segmentation and sources of income; finding strategies to improve scalability, optimising resources to grow sustainably; attracting talent, the key to boosting innovation and effectiveness in attracting customers; reviewing communication and distribution channels; internationalisation by identifying strategic markets; and exchanging tips on how to access funding rounds and connect with investors.
In total, 11 pre-incubation projects at ParcBit were able to participate in the various networking cafés. In addition, 9 projects in incubation mode enjoyed personalised mentoring sessions with experts.
The Tramuntana Tech Talks continue to consolidate themselves as a benchmark platform for training and collaboration in the technological entrepreneurship sector in the Balearic Islands and in 2025 will celebrate their 10th birthday with a special event.
The Emprenbit programme provides support services to entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas. In the last six years, the Bit Foundation’s programme has dealt with 341 applications for admission of technological entrepreneurship projects to the ParcBit incubator. Of these, 82 have gone through pre-incubation and 42 through incubation. This year 2024, Emprenbit has managed 54 more applications and currently has 12 incubated companies and 8 projects in the pre-incubation phase. The Emprenbit incubator has given rise to companies that are now benchmarks in the Balearic innovation ecosystem, such as Laboratorios Sanifit, Habitissimo and Travelgate.
